The only true way to is to solder it.

As an alternative, I use 22 or 20G wire, put it through the bead/pendant, bring it up and form a loop (to string onto wire) then twist it around itself. The twisting keeps it from ever coming undone. Like this:

For size 10 seed beads or larger you can use a size 10 needle.

The higher the number the thinner the silver. For instance, an ear wire that is 20 gauge is thicker than an ear wire that is 22 gauge.
