Can Rhinestones be fired in a kiln?

Cubic is OK - never diamonds or glass. Diamonds disappear and glass will explode or melt. Some gemstones may change color, so test them first.

answer 2
Rhinestones are glass and would melt in a kiln heated to the temperature glass slumps or melts. Also, some have air pockets in them (use a loupe and examine them and you'll see some bubbles). Hot air expands and then causes the rhinestone to break or explode when there is nowhere for it to go.

Stick with a true gemstone simulant that is not glass.

Not a good idea; rhinestones tend to melt. You're OK with cubic zirconia though.

I usually eye-ball the two/or more strands and add more beads on the bottom row/rows between the spacers to get the curve correct. You also need to hold up or hang around a necklace model to make sure that all the strands sit flat.

Dear Donna, I have used "crimp covers" to cover knots (they come in different sizes). You can also space a couple more throughout the bracelet to make it look uniform or hang a charm from a small jump ring right next to the single crimp cover and it will look very deliberate in your design. Hope this helps--perhaps you have already gotten a solution--hard to believe no answers in 7 mos!

On the internet, search on 'printable bead size chart'. Find one that prints actual size ,and tape it up somewhere handy. You'll never buy the wrong sized bead again. :0)
