Question
Ok, when measuring the length of a bracelet, is that from end to end from the clasp or from the crimp bead?

When making a bracelet you should always measure from end to end including the clasp. The reason is that there are many different clasps. If you use a lobster claw your finished piece will be quite a bit shorter than if you use a large toggle. I use a flexible protractor, which allows me to measure the inside of the bracelet closed thereby giving me an accurate length, as it would be worn.

I used Beadalon 19 strand wire and alternated 8mm ivory pearls with black 4mm bicone crystals and really liked the outcome. Finished the piece with sterling silver figaro chain.

Question
What type of bead do I use for Swarovski squaredells? I have cubes, but need others. Please see details.
I am making a bracelet and have the cubes to put between 2 squaredells, but bicones to separate each "block" doesn't work. Should I get some kind of saucer-shape to fit on the outside of the squaredell? Is the roundell what I want? Thanks for any help.

I think any spacer would work here as long as you have the right size to fit next to your crystals
You could also try a small silver bead if you don't like the spacers

To separate the crystal cube beads you can use saucer shaped beads as well as daisy spacers.

You can also use rounds and daisy spacers shown here:

Question
What is the difference between glass and crystal?

Crystal is made by adding lead oxide to glass. The lead in crystal is what makes it sparkle and reflect colors so much more than plain glass. It also makes crystal heavier than glass. The higher the lead content, the better quality the crystal. In Europe, glass must contain at least 4% lead to be called crystal and in the US, glass must have at least 1% lead content. In contrast, Swarovski crystal has at least 30% lead content.

Crystal contains (harmless) lead. The higher percentage, the "brighter" the crystal. If you've ever seen a Waterford cut glass object and the light play it has, you'll understand the difference. Swarovski has that same light play in even the tiniest beads. Nothing wrong with glass beads, they're just different...and less expensive.

I've seen the Mint Alabaster combined with Air Blue Opal, Pacific Opal, Rose Alabaster, White Opal and White Alabaster. If you have to pick just two...good luck! Personally, I like Air Blue,White Opal, Mint Alabaster.

The Swarovski color Khaki and Olivine as well as Lime would work with the Mint Alabaster.  We do offer a Jewelry Color Chart which can be viewed at following the link below: http://www.artbeads.com/jewelry-color-chart.html

according to one size chart a 14mm bead is 1.75 inches so for a 7.5 bracelet it would take approximately 13 beads if you had no spacers in between them.

When using 24-gauge headpins to create earring dangles, is a simple wire loop adequate or should I use a wrapped loop? What about 22-gauge?

I would definately use a wrapped loop when using headpins that thin, not only for security since a simple loop may come open more easily but also for a more finished look.
