Pick up a bead and pass through it again once or twice to anchor it, leaving a 6-inch tail. Then pick up additional beads until the row is as wide as you want your bracelet to be. (I.e., if you want the bracelet to be 6 beads wide, you'll anchor the first bead, then add 5 more.) Now pick up a new bead and pass through the last bead of the first row. This snugs or "squares" the new bead directly beneath the other one. Pass through the new bead again. Now pick up another bead and "square" it by passing through the bead directly above. Pass through it again, pick up another bead, pass through the one above it, pass through the new bead again, etc. Continue in this manner until you reach the end of the row, then pass through the entire previous row and the one you've just completed to reinforce your work. Repeat until the bracelet is as long as you want it to be. This is a great, fast stitch to use as a base for all kinds of embellishments, and it makes the inside of your bracelet look pretty, too.
