To intersperse silver links in your necklace design, simply crimp the Soft Flex wire sections onto the adjoining link on each end. You can hide the crimps under crimp covers to give the overall design a smoother flow.

A crimp cover looks like a bead with an opening on the side. You can get them in many sizes and metals to match the clasp. It is easy to put on and gives a great finish to your work. Once you close your crimp you take a crimp cover and hold it steady with either your fingers or pliers, lay the closed crimp in the center of the cover then close the gap with a needle nose pliers very carefully so the seams match up.

You might try a jump nice jump ring. I have seen some that are better in quality. I think that the eye would go to the Cosmic ring. You could by using an additional jump ring smaller in size. dangle another crystal of a smaller size.???

use delicas on .024 wire to make the loop. Cut 16 inches wire and attach button to one end, crimp and cover with crimp cover. Bead bracelet from there for about six inches or whatever will work with your button and wrist. put an uncrimped crimp on and finish off with the size 15 or 17 delicas or other small seed beads, around 25 - 30, depending how big the loop must be. Bring the end around, crimp and cover. this bracelet takes a few tries to get it right but is a big hit in my classes.

What type stringing materal is best for gemstone beads?
I have 5 books on jewelry making but none of them specify a stringing material. I'm making earrings with sterling silver but don't know what to use for necklaces.

There are four key points to consider when purchasing stringing wire.
First is the thickness of the wire. We suggest purchasing the thickest available that will still string through the beads.
Second is to consider the amount of strands of wire woven into one thickness. The more strands the more flexible and stronger the wire. We suggest using 49 with all heavy jewelry designs, as you will not have the risk of the wire breaking.
Third is the finish of the wire. Some wires will offer a color choice and some may only have a dark grey finish. If you are doing a design that shows the wire or has light colored beads, you may want to use a wire that has more of a silver tone than grey.
Fourth is the brand. Each beader will tell you one wire is better than the other. However most of the difference is based on the feel of the wire. Our designers use ZambaPro. Not only does this wire come in 49 strands, offers various wire thickness but it also feels soft and doesn't kink.
We hope this is helpful!
