answer 1
Put a round 2-3 mm silver or gold bead on each side of the hole and wrap your wire down to the bead.
Or I use a 4 mm clear swarovsky crystal bicone on each side [or just on one side if you want] and put a big seed bead or a small round glass bead on the other side-or a small round pearl-or gemstone 4mm or smaller..

When I'm stringing beads with large holes (weather on wire string or pins), I'll string a tiny bead first, then place the larger bead over-top (so that the tiny bead is actually 'inside' the hole of the larger bead). You cannot see the tiny bead underneath, and it keeps the larger bead from moving around. I've used mostly crimp beads and seed beads for this. You could try a clear, crystal seed bead, so it is transparent.

Lisy, I like to use the clear rubber stoppers for the backs of earrings. They fit perfectly into the holes of the large lampwork beads and any large bead. sometimes I also use the smaller white rubber stopper and just cut it to size. It will keep the bead straight on the headpin or wire. Clear "Rubber" Earwire Clutch

Lisey, whether your headpin has a flat head or a ball, you need to use a heishi spacer or a bead cap with a hole small enough that the head of the headpin will not go through and big enough in circumference to cover the hole of the lampwork bead. For interest,. bead caps are nice addition on the top hole of the bead to frame your bead. Another way to make your earrings interesting is to flip a bead cap around away from the bead and place a lovely crystal or pearl accent bead that compliments the colors in your lampwork inside the cup of the inverted bead cap making a little flower like shape.. The correct size bead cap or heishi should cover the holes of your lampwork beads. Any variations of the above will work. With your two uniquely handmade beads and all the beautifully scrolled beadcaps, interesting heishi spacers, gem stones, pearls, new cool shapes and awesome colors in Swarovski crystal available in todays market, you should have no trouble finding the right combination and accent beads to make your lampwork beads pop. Good luck creating your earrings that will be uniquely yours and you will love to wear. Happy beading Lisey!!

you can put a small bead on the headpin before the lampwork bead in order to stop them just sliding of the head pin.
depending on the size of your head pin, you could go to a craft store and find small glass beads, E beads, or silver beads.
