You could thread all five wires into the clam shell and crimp them together. You would have to experiment to use the smallest crimp size that you could get away with and still be able to close the clam shell. It might just be easier to use a cone on both ends-cones are great for multi-strand necklaces!

I would Crimp the wires together and then clip all but one wire to 1/8 inch (make certain that the Crimp is very tight and won't pull out) I would then put the remaining wire through a cone and then use a clam-shell. Hopes this hels you. How were the wires attached on the other end?

Question
Is there a "standard" bracelet size
I am making different designs to possibly sell, and was wondering if there is a "standard" bracelet size.

There is no standard bracelet size; the typical adult wrist will range anywhere from 6.5 inches to 9 inches. One way that you could ensure that your bracelet designs can be worn by a variety of people is to add an extender chain to the end of the bracelet. This will enable people with wider wrists to adjust the bracelet to a larger size.

You can view our extender chains on our website via the following link:

answer 2
For women the average bracelet size is 7-7.5"
You can always make your bracelets 7" and then add a 2" adjust chain at the end.
Hope that helps!

HOW DO I MAKE A BRACLET ON STRETCHY CORD?

I use the stretchy cord and I hide my knot in a bead and put a dab of glue on both sides. Your bead will be the only one that doesn't move on the bracelent and you can't even tell unless you start moving each bead. Its a nice trick.

I like to use the clear elastic stretch cord for my bracelets. Just string your beads and tie a knot when you're finished. I tie a double knot and dab a drop of jewelry glue on the knot to hold. Wait to trim off excess cord til after the glue dries. Also, helpful hint, make sure the size of the cord is stong enough to hold the weight of the beads.

I agree with the Customer Service answer. And be sure to leave a bit of slack in the wire before crimping so that the eyeglass loop can move freely.

If you are using jewelry wire to string your necklace, you can either crimp the wire directly onto the eyeglass holder or onto an open jump ring that you would connect onto the eyeglass holder.

I use jump rings around the pin and either crimp the wires directly to the jump ring and cover the crimps with a crimp cover, or end the wires or threads with a clamshell, then attach the clamshell to the jump rings.

We do not currently carry a toggle clasp small enough to fit around the watch pin, but we do have a variety of watch designs in our Learning Center that provide instructions and may assist you in creating your design:

The size that you want for your jump rings and clasp are personal preference although you want to consider the size of beads that you are working with when you choose these items.

If you use a large 10mm bead you would want to choose a jump ring and clasp that are not too small. This would cause an un-eveness in your design.

The average size of clasps and jump rings run in the 6mm to 8mm size for an average piece of jewelry.

Although there are many different designs for a charm bracelet, the one thing that they have in common is having a large link size to fit the charm jumprings into.

Artbeads.com carries a pre-made 8" charm bracelet CHARM-A that has large links that can hold your many charms.

Question
How do you measure the lenght for a strtch bracelet?

An easy way to measure what size stretch bracelet will fit on your wrist is to take a bracelet that you already own that fits you and to measure its length with a ruler. Don't forget to add an extra few inches when you are cutting your stretch cord to give yourself enough room on the ends of the cord to tie the finishing knot.

Question
What's the best medium to string the crystals
My grandmothers crystals are the real ones because they're always cold to the touch, and they are strung with some king of string which apparently is of good quality. So, if I want to make a crystal bracelet, what would your suggestion be to string them with besides the elastics.

For the best hold we suggest using jewelry wire such as our Zamba Pro jewelry wire:

http://www.artbeads.com/zamba-pro-jewelry-wire.html

You need to use the thickest wire that will fit through the crystal holes to ensure the strongest hold.

If you are unfamiliar with how to finish jewelry wire please feel free to visit our Learning Center for free techniques:
