You can incorporate the large glass ribbon beads with smaller beads, or just go with something simple with a silver ribbon. here are just a few of theones I have sold.

I make awareness jewelry for both Breast Cancer and Autism. I like to make most of my Breast Cancer items with Swarovski and the tiny ribbon or a cross. Some designs I put in a Hope or Believe sterling bead in the middle and the awareness ribbon by the toggle. Autism can be a little more flashy as the puzzle piece is the main symbol with multi-colors. People love the random rainbow of colors I use or now the lampwork beads in a variety of colors with a simple puzzle piece near the toggle. Never cheap out with plastic!

I make a lot of awareness jewelry. To avoid the awareness bead, I use a sterling or sterling plate ribbon bead or incorporate a ribbon charm into the clasp. This bracelet was for a mother who lost her daughter to uterine cancer. Made of teal Swarovski crystals and sterling plate alphabet beads. See below.

For subtle awareness jewelry you can simply use the colors associated with the cause of your choice and include a plain sterling silver awareness ribbon charm.

There are many groups that have adopted various colors for the causes they represent. While it would be impossible to list every one, we have created a chart of awareness ribbon colors and causes that list several of the causes represented by each color. To view this chart please follow the link below: http://www.artbeads.com/awareness-ribbon-causes.html
